Charity Concert – The Cantamus Girl’s Choir 2018 Leavers

Sunday 9th September 2018, 3pm

St Mark’s Church, Mansfield

Our fabulous 2018 leavers, have put together an exciting programme of solos, duets and ensembles to entertain you all and to showcase their talents!

The six talented girls have been members of Cantamus for a number of years, all singing firstly in Cantamus Training Choir, before moving up to the senior ‘Cantamus Girl’s Choir’. They would now love your support before they move on to university.

These selfless, caring girls have also decided that they would like to raise money for their chosen charity, ‘The Virlanie Voices’, who the girls met at the Montreux Choral Festival back in April. All the girls, (and their parents!) were charmed by these young people from the Philippines. To find out that the children in this choir were from very deprived backgrounds and that the choir is run by a charity that takes children off the streets to give them a better life, was very humbling! And the children themselves were all so lovely too! You can find out more about this charity on the following link.
